Men's crewneck sweaters have always been affordable and durable if taken care of properly. A crewneck sweater works well with nothing underneath or just a light preferably white tshirt. As with most men's clothing fit is important, if its too big you'll look like a slob but that all boils down to the effect you're trying to create. I've seen some men work oversize crewnecks well on some street style blogs.

The key to pulling off an oversized crewneck is to make sure the neckline is not too wide and pull up the sleeves to create a sort of classic feel. Finally you should wear slim fit pants, any other kind of bottom cordinate you wear would make you look like a slob :o)
